It’s nearly that time! Spring is fast approaching. Daffodils are coming out and the temperature is finally creeping up. So, what better time to get out in your garden and do some much needed post winter tidying up. Take a look at our steps below to get your garden prepared and looking great for when we can all spend the majority of our day outside.
- Pruning – If you have any climbers or Wisteria on your house now is the time to prune and cut this right back. Also, if you have any overgrown hedges in your garden, these should have a good cut. If you have any winter-flowering shrubs that are no longer flowering, give them a little prune too.
- Jet-wash any patios or decking – These areas can get extremely grubby and dingy over the winter months. Getting them pressure washed before bringing the garden furniture back out of storage is the perfect time. Pressure washing can bring your garden area back to life and make your space look fresh and clean!
- Organise your shed or greenhouse – If you are a keen gardener or wish to get started on making your garden amazing, then organising your workspace is key! Getting your garden tools organised to ensure you have easy access to them will make gardening this year enjoyable and stress free. Especially if you feel like you will be purchasing additional tools and equipment this year. Sorting your greenhouse will make room for all of those vegetable seeds and growbags if you like growing your own vegetables.
- Conservatory cleaning – If you have a conservatory, now is the perfect time to get the exterior cleaned. Its important to get gutters cleaned as they can get blocked throughout the autumn and winter and it is essential to get these cleared. Windows and conservatory roofs will most probably also need a thorough scrub as roofs especially can gather a build up of dirt throughout the winter months.
